Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Europe, is seeking an experienced Technical Training Manager to develop and deliver training solutions that meet business needs. This will be from the onboarding of an employee to their continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, produce, and administer training programmes for employees and managers throughout our operations
Educate staff, supervisors, and managers about systems, products, and processes
Determine the appropriate communication strategies for operational training programmes and initiatives
Ensure all new hire training and onboarding is administered promptly and kept up to date
Evaluate the progress of new hires against defined training plan
Give a preview of the training process to new hires during induction process
Maintain training records for all employees
Designing and developing operational training programmes, ensuring that all course material meets industry and company standards and requirements
Partner with key stakeholders to prioritize training needs and roll-out new processes and technologies
Manage and deliver training and development programmes for operational staff
Provide continuing education and refresher training for operations-related subject matter
Optimise training processes and measure efficiency
Act as a project coordinator for training initiatives, such as performing needs assessments and developing a training calendar
Drive employee culture through training, communication, and development
Ensure strategic alignment of the training plans with business goals
Implement an evaluation process and generate specifications for training revisions and updates based on evaluation feedback
Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline, plus 5 years relevant technical training experience
Learning and development best practice
CIPD Qualification a big advantage
A proven track record of training programme development and management
Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and analytical thinking ability
Ability to create strong stakeholder relationships with a proven track record of gaining buy-in
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and integrate multiple points of view into a streamlined action plan
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and a high level of confidentiality
